Schools workshops (run over two school terms)

This early intervention program focuses on supporting young people to build healthy and meaningful relationships. The program emphasises the significance of creating strong relationships through trust, honesty, respect, and equality.

This program is targeted towards young people who are at increased risk of engaging in family and domestic violence (FDV) or showing emerging problematic behaviours.

The program comprises of 10 one hour modules including: important topics including

  • identifying and expressing emotions
  • recognising power dynamics
  • respecting personal boundaries
  • understanding consent
  • challenging gender roles and stereotypes
  • exploring the impact of FDV.

Learning Objectives:

  • To empower young people with self-awareness and skills for positive, safe equitable, and respectful relationships
  • Increase healthy help-seeking behaviours
  • Reduce the likelihood of young people engaging in family and domestic violence.

Prerequisite: Highly recommended teachers supporting students complete Family and Domestic Violence Awareness Training
