Welcome to the Workforce Development Collaborative WA
We are the leaders and expertise in workforce development for the family, domestic and sexual violence sector.
Workforce Development Collaborative WA was formed by the Western Australian family and domestic violence and sexual violence peak bodies – Centre for Women’s Safety and Wellbeing and Stopping Family Violence.
We are recognised industry leaders and trusted by the government, non-government and private sectors to support the long-term training and professional development needs of the specialist family, domestic and/or the sexual violence workforce.
We support all other sectors intersecting with the impacts of family, domestic and sexual violence. As allies, we provide professional development pathways that are specific to sector needs.
The Workforce Development Collaborative WA and our co-peaks believe that a strong, supported and skilled family, domestic, and sexual violence sector will enable greater safety and well-being for victim-survivors. Additionally, it promotes stronger accountability for people who commit family, domestic and/or sexual violence, as well prevent while also aiming to prevent violence before it occurs.
We offer expertise, longevity, and support to cultivate a capable and responsive workforce informed about family, domestic, and sexual violence.
Workforce Development Collaborative WA Outcomes:
Workers
will have the knowledge, skills and support they need to do their jobs effectively and safely.
Organisations
will have the structures, resources and practices in place to support their workers.
Systems
will be strengthened through collaboration and advocacy, with the Workforce Development Collaborative WA providing the sector with opportunities to connect through networks, events and communities of practice.
Supporting WDCWA means supporting the Peaks to speak up and advocate on behalf of the sector.
Our independent peak bodies are built upon a legacy of supporting and partnering with organisations across Western Australia for over 30 years.
We provide training, pilot programs, consultation, advocacy and presentations across all Australian states and territories. We have a global audience for our research.
Our experience spans every region in Western Australia, and we also participate in advocacy, national policy and strategy across all of Australia.
