Safe and Together supervisors training

Supervising workers in a domestic violence–related practice is one way to make sure employees have the support and guidance they need when working with adult and child survivors, intervening with perpetrators, and managing safety for themselves and the family. Our team are the most experienced facilitators in Western Australia in this model and can apply place-based local knowledge and application of the model in the Western Australian context. 

Learning Objectives:

  • Describe how to apply the principles and key concepts of the Safe and Together Model to supervise worker practice
  • Learn to use a coaching framework to provide domestic violence-informed supervision
  • Learn how to support worker skill development and provide DV-informed case guidance and decisions
  • Improve awareness and skills to address worker emotional and physical safety issues that have implications for DV informed practice and family outcomes
  • Build skills and confidence to assess and nurture a worker’s ability to practice DV-informed assessment, interviewing, documentation and case planning
  • Better provide DV-informed guidance to workers and make case decisions

Prerequisite: Safe and Together Core Training and preference to have a minimum of six months experience in apply the model.
