Perpetrator pattern, adult and child strengths-based practice

This workshop will explore how workers can identify the perpetrator patterned behaviours and challenge unhealthy opinions and attitudes that can lead to unhelpful practice.

Learning Objectives:

  • Learn how to map a perpetrator’s pattern and document it, even if you never have contact with the perpetrator.
  • Explore an understanding of the impact on the many ways perpetrators cause harm to children and interrupt family functioning
  • Learn how to safely partner with the victim-survivor with a brief introduction to safety planning.

Prerequisite: Family and Domestic Violence Awareness
