This workshop will provide an overview of the Intersecting Capability Review Tool, which was developed to provide structured and systematic approach to building service capability to respond safely and effectively to the intersecting issues of Family and Domestic Violence (FDV) and Alcohol and other Drugs (AoD).
Learning Objectives:
- To explore the complex interplay of domestic and family violence and alcohol and other drug use and its impact on victim-survivors
- Gain an overview of the Intersecting Capability Review Tool, which was developed to provide a structured and systematic approach to building service capability to respond safely and effectively to the intersecting issues
- Understand strategies that can assist services and practitioners to respond safely to victim-survivors experiencing the intersecting issues of domestic and family violence and alcohol and other drug use
- Use practical activities to engage with the learnings and apply the tools and strategies to their context
