This workshop provides key considerations when working with people impacted by family and domestic violence who do not work in a specialist family and domestic violence service.
Learning Objectives:
- Gain an understanding of the opportunities and responsibilities in roles when responding to family, domestic and sexual violence (FDSV)
- Identify knowledge and understand the skills required to respond safely to victim-survivors and perpetrators of FDSV
- An introduction to practical tools to
- identify and map perpetrator patterns
- recognise and honour adult and child victim-survivor strengths
- Gain an understanding of making safe referrals
- Explore FDSV destructive documentation practices
- How to weave intersectionality sensitive responses throughout worker practice
